You know many people only get on their knees to pray when they are in a fix or when they’ve reached rock bottom, the act of praying shouldn’t always be a call for help.
God desires to spend substantial time with you, telling you about his plans and unveiling Himself in all of His glory to you. We should learn to enjoy talking to God in prayers, listening to him talk back to us and just enjoy fellowship with Him. As a believer, it is however impossible to live without troubles or tribulations, when these troubled times come, you can always call on your father who has given you victory prior the troubled times, John 16:33…’These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.’
You might want to ask that since I am victorious, why do I have to pray? Well things don’t look like victory just yet and you know this, you wouldn’t live in denial that things aren’t good yet, you shouldn’t! But since Jesus said you are victorious, you are. So what do you do? You pray from the standpoint of victory, knowing fully well that you are born of God and an overcomer, 1John 5:4-5…..’For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?’
We are not of those that draw back to perdition, we pray from the standpoint of victory to physically access the victory Jesus has given us. Jesus when talking about faith with his disciples made them understand that believing in the victory we have is the key to answered prayers. Mark 11:25…’Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them’.
This is what praying from victory looks like. I know it can be somewhat impossible to not be tempted to worry, do not worry, get that light weight in the place of prayers. Philippians 4:6….’Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus’.
Dear Believer, you are Victorious, the devil knows you are unstoppable. You cannot worry your problems away, get that light weight in prayers.
Forward step: Faith is the fuel of praying. Ask in faith, believing you have received from God when you pray in accordance to the will of God.
