Change Your Narrative 😊

♥There have been times in my life when I was seriously frustrated about somethings or maybe a couple of things and people. Maybe things were not working out like they ought to, maybe the people around me just decided to act funny all at the same time and then me having things to bother about would just put me in a bad place that’d make me get really worried and maybe act out in frustration. In times like that, I’d say stuff that I did not really mean just because I was mad or angry and those things would get worse and I’d get more mad and say more wrong stuff and the cycle continued. A lot of us do this, thinking it’s just the normal thing to do. You speak when you are emotional about what you are going through and most times because we are humans and our emotions can get the best of us, we usually speak in the negative when we are mad or frustrated which by the way would make the situation worse. Do a mental check right now, everybody you have said something negative about, have they changed? Or everything you have said something bad about is probably still very bad. It’s because you keep saying negative things about already bad situations.
As a believer, your word is valid. Every single word that proceeds out of your mouth is very valid. It has authority backing it because you already have authority as a son of God. God created the world with the word of his mouth. Before the world began, God saw that things were bad, The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. (Gen1:2) God did not say oh, things are so bad, how would we ever survive this? Holyspirit what are we going to do about this? This is so terrible. No he did not say any negative thing even though there was darkness all over and the earth was without form or void. God simply said what He wanted to see. He could have said anything but he chose to say exactly what he needed to see. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.(Gen 1:3). God could have decided to do a number of things but he spoke first because of an understanding that his words are powerful and creative. After God spoke what he wanted to see, He got the result he wanted. ‘And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.’ (Gen 1:4-5). He continued speaking and things fell into place. You are God’s child. You have the same creative power in your tongue. Rather than say bad stuff about something already bad why change your narrative and say positive things instead.

Forward step: for everything going wrong in your life right now, except you want them to remain like that or get worse, start confessing positively about them.
